Notice of Public Hearing, August 6, 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hammondsport, New York will hold a public hearing to determine the need/location of its proposed sewer system project (“Project”), a public Project and the need to acquire fee title to certain real property, together with a permanent easement for the Project.

The hearing will be held on August 6, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. EDT at the Fred and Harriet Taylor Library, 21 Williams Street, Hammondsport, New York 14840. The proposed Project will result in a sewer system to serve a portion of the Village, more specifically identified in Schedule A attached hereto.

The proposed location of the fee title real property to be acquired is as follows:


BEGINNING at a point marking the northeast corner of said parcel, being N 79o07’56” W, 346.55 feet from the northeast corner of Tax Map No. 118.05-01-033.10; thence S 17o46’00” W, 84.10 feet to a point; thence S 52o58’54” W, 296.47 feet to a point on the easterly boundary of Luppino (Book 2359, Page 26); thence northwesterly along the eastern boundary of Luppino (Book 2359, Page 26); N 43o35’38” W, 43.84 feet to an iron pin found; thence southerly along the northern boundary of Luppino (Book 2359, Page 26) S 02o06’00” W, 8.92 feet to a rebar found; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Luppino (Book 2359, Page 26), N 77o32’12” W, 62.00 feet to a rebar found; thence northerly along the northern boundary of Luppino (Book 2359, Page 26), N 02o06’00” E, 15.00 feet to a point; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Luppino (Book 2359, Page 26), Pikula (Book 1961, Page 203), and Hosier (Book 1291, Page 69), N 86o49’00” W, 261.12 feet to a point; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Benham (Book 1425, Page 15), N 14o03’36’ E, 370.77 feet to a point; thence easterly along the southerly boundary of Travis (Book 2454, Page 35), S 18o48’13” E, 62.08 feet to a rebar found; thence easterly along the southern boundary of Travis (Book 2454, Page 35), S 70o31’13” E, 336.10 feet to an iron pin found; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Travis (Book 2454, Page 35), N 01o16’54” E, 63.45 feet to a point; thence S 72o14’00” E, 194.58 feet to the point of beginning. The real property to be subject to a permanent easement is as follows:

There are no proposed alternative locations.

All persons having an interest in the Project are invited to attend the hearing to give oral or written statements and to submit other documents concerning the proposed public Project known as the Sewer System Project.
